Autumn colors at Ķemeri moorland

Some say Autumn is grey and colorless. I say - wake up before sun rise, take your friends and step aside in nature. You will see so many colors! Even now, when it's rainy and dark. All these photos taken by Zane Jenzena in early Sunday morning, in Kemeri moorland, Latvia.

It's Easter day already!

happy easter by akwiinas

To all of you who celebrate this day, let me wish you - Happy Easter! And for everyone who don't celebrate it - have a great spring day! I hope weather at the place where you are, is much more better than it is here in Latvia - we have +2C (it's 35.6F)!  :)

Mug swap review

While ago I already told you I am participating in Mug O'Comfort Swap hosted by CG swaps. Because my partner was from USA, it took us some more time to receive our packages, but luckily both have reached their destinations so it's time to show off!  :)
My partner was Amanda from His and Her Hobbies. After a few emails we realized how similar we are. I mean - if we didn't live in different sides of world, one would be married to Aussie guy (or at least- married..) . But we have a lot of common so when I received Amanda's package, I could only sigh - a perfect combination it was!

So this is my new mug - in my and Amanda's favorite color

Very interesting tea set with black, green, white and herbal teas

I got a package of Swiss Miss what is really tasty! I am curios for who is this little note on the package. Maybe for kids who are not good at Math but still loves this drink?  :)

One more tea set. Tasty as well - with 6 flavors, including taste of sleeping bears (actually, I am little it afraid to taste it...)

Raisinets or raisins in chocolate are approved! One more common thing with Amanda - we love everything covered with chocolate.

And a cute extra - shopping list for my next tea purchase!

Amanda, this was a great swap! Thank you very much for these goodies! Hope to keep in touch!

My dear friends, I warmly recommend to step by Amanda's and her husband's blog as there are really interesting stories about differences between USA and Australia about which you maybe even couldn't imagine! And not only that  - I am sure Amanda soon will show what she got from me! hisandherhobbies.blogspot.com

Easy Valentine's decor idea

Today is a wonderful day! And not only because I have vacation  :)
Valentines day is just right behind the corner and today I put out a decoration of something lovely for myself and my boyfriend. Yes, candies!

Even if you are living alone or with a cat, there is no reason, why you shouldn't cheer yourself up with something tasty!

This time I used little hard boiled candies with hearts, but if you prefer black chocolate or marshmallows - go ahead and stock with them some glass jars! If you have big red wine glasses, instead or drink, fill them with red candies.

Do you have any candies you usually use for Valentine's day decors?

Photo a day in January-3

So it's here. Already 3rd week in this year and as [always] my week's photo review is ready for you! I won't talk too much, but I really would like if you take a look at my photos and any comment is welcome! :) Enjoy your winter/summer wherever you are now!
January 13th - Paper
My morning breakfast - newspaper with tea and something to eat. Takes me almost an hour each morning but totally worth it!

January 14th - Toy
This is Mr.π [Pi]. He is my first gift from my boyfriend on our first Christmas. Since that he has been with me in each trip I have had. Mr.Pi's travel experience is quite big - Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia.

January 15th - Sweet
One of my favorite sweets I call Poo. Actually, it's really tasty - meringue cookies with chocolate crisps and almond in the middle.

January 16th - Hug
That's me and my boyfriend.

January 17th - Texture
Till late night I was scanning my postcard collection and decided to scan texture of my-my boyfriend's cardigan. He was surprised when realized that suddenly I have finished to scan postcards and I scan his cardigan :D

January 18th - Motley
We were cooking cupcakes. I don't care if that is old fashion, it still tastes good and my family tasted them!

January 19th - Shopping
So I was shopping. Guess what stole my attention?

Fresh spring breeze

I received Etsy Finds - an email about trends. There were a few really great items for Easter which reminded me of my last year's crafts. A while before Easter, when it was still snowy outside, I made an egg-diet. I made an omelet every morning to collect egg-shells. I carefully hit the top of the egg, so that most part of the shell would stay undamaged. After that I washed each shell and putted soil inside. On top of it there was a layer with different seeds. I made some eggs with Easter grass. Some where with basilica, some - parsley and so one. After a while the first sprouts came out. After a few weeks I had herbs on my windowsill in kitchen.
For adding colors to herbs, you can paint shells before planting grass. I used acrylic colors.  You can find a few more ideas in my Pinterest board Spring time
It would be great, if you could share your favorite spring craft before Easter. How do you decorate your home in spring time?
